Health and Safety Training

Staff training and development is a top priority for PLP Construction and is one of our key business performance objectives. We invest heavily in Health and Safety training and all our staff are fully trained in basic First Aid, Working Safely and Manual Handling as part of their basic health and safety training.

We provide on-site training through the regular use of toolbox talks as part of our continuous training programme.

All our Supervisors have passed the IOSH Managing Safely course and our site operatives participate in the IOSH Working Safely course.

We are on target to have a 100% CSCS Card workforce by Autumn 2007. We encourage all our site staff to up skill by working through an On-site Assessment Training Programme in conjunction with the local college to gain NVQ level 2/level 3 in their relevant trade.

Two years ago we implemented the C.I.T.B. Training Plan which addresses each individual's training needs. This also links into our business objectives.

In April 2007 we obtained CHAS Accreditation which demonstrates the robustness of the Health and Safety Management System we use.
