PLP Construction Limited won the auspicious award of ‘North West Contractor of the Year' at the prestigious North West Regional Construction Awards held at the new Beetham Tower Manchester Hilton Hotel on Friday 18 th May 2007.

The awards, sponsored by the North West Regional Development Agency, The Centre for Construction and Innovation and Constructing Excellence North West showcased the best and most Innovative projects and working practices in the North West . A select panel of judges, made up from eminent regional clients and construction professionals, judged entrants under a number of key headlines. The highlight of the Awards Evening was the announcement of the prestigious overall Awards Winners and these included NW Contractor of the Year, NW Client of the Year and NW Project of the Year. The event was hosted by Lucy Meacock from Granada Reports and Roy Walker from Catchphrase provided Guest Entertainment.

Joanne James, Training and HR Manager and Ged Whiting, Contracts Manager from PLP Construction Limited attended the Dinner. Joanne James said ‘It was an amazing experience to attend such a high profile event and to be recognised for our contribution to the North West Construction Industry, especially as we will be celebrating 25 years in the business in September.'
